
The New Scientist Book Club is reading Sierra Greer’s novel Annie Bot this month. The Arthur C. Clarke award-winning writer joined us to reveal how she got into the mindset of her protagonist, a sex robot, and what it was like writing about the unpleasant and controlling man who owns her. Greer also spoke about how strange it was to have written her novel about a robotic companion well before the advent of AI companions in the real-world – and if she’s planning a sequel.
