ESA’s JUICE mission launches to Jupiter

Moons of Jupiter, here we come. After the original launch was postponed by a day due to a risk of lightning strikes, the European Space Agency (ESA) is sending its orbiter on an 8-year journey towards Jupiter, where it will explore three of the gas giant’s four large moons. The orbiter, called the Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE) is now scheduled to launch on 14 April from Kourou, French Guiana.
